You Don’t Have to Avoid the Dentist Because of Dental Anxiety, Fear or Special Needs!
Dr. Heidari will make sure you stay calm, comfortable and in control with Sedation & Sleep Dentistry.
If you have dental anxiety and fear, we understand that going to the dentist is a terrifying experience! That said, please know that you are not alone! Nearly half of the people in the U.S. are missing teeth or have advanced gum and bone infections because they can’t get past the fear and make the phone call.
If you are one of these people who are terrified and are embarrassed to smile or open your mouth because of the long term affects of having to avoid the dental office, and this has this led to bad breath, tooth loss, and an unattractive smile, then Aptos sedation dentist Dr. Heidari can absolutely help you.
If you or someone in your family has special needs, then we understand that sitting still in the dentist chair may be difficult and nearly impossible. Dr. Heidari has helped many people who are challenged with having had a Stroke, or have Autism, Epilepsy, Parkinson’s, Down Syndrome, and other conditions.
With our Sedation Dentistry services you will be so calm and relaxed that you’ll be able to finally get the treatment you need so you can smile and chew normally again.
We Provide 4 Levels of Sedation Dentistry in Aptos:
1. Very Light – Laughing Gas
2. Light – An Oral Sedative (a pill)
3. Moderate – A Combination of Laughing Gas and Oral Sedative
4. Deeper – IV Intravenous
Simply put, these sedation dentistry methods safely and comfortably allow you to virtually sleep through your dental visit and Dr. Heidari highly recommends these if you are truly desperate to get the dental care you need.
Oral Sedation Dentistry Aptos
If you have a moderate amount of dental fear and anxiety, then oral sedation may be right for you. It is a low cost method that is safe and is as easy as taking a pill. The overall effect is not as profound as IV intravenous sedation, but for most people, there will be enough relaxation with little recollection of the dental procedure.
IV Sedation Dentistry Aptos
Intravenous dental sedation is administered directly into the blood stream by our on-site certified anesthesiologist. One of the greatest advantages with IV sedation is that you can achieve a deeper state of relaxation than with oral sedation. Also, if at any time you are not relaxed enough, the anesthesiologist can easily administer more medication, which will have an immediate effect. The drugs used for IV Sedation are more effective than if the same drugs are taken orally and there will be no recollection of the dental procedure.
